It may just be me, but in Ames, is there dry air in the area that could limit snow totals?

Leaving for Orlando, Sunday. Better to be lucky than good with timing.

Not exactly sure.
You must not have been as dry as us this summer and fall. I'd take 2' of snow for groundwater's sake.
Most of the snow will run off now with the ground froze. We got 2 inches middle of December that soaked in.

We were slightly dry which was perfect for us this summer.

Seeing some discussion from the KC area that the low has shifted south, but the track is not off, and they are upping totals for KC. Does this increase totals for Central Iowa as well?
