***Official 2024 Chicago Cubs Thread***

It's literally every game they win. Zero discussion on the positives. Yet every loss there is a ton of negative posts.

I agree this team is disappointing, but if it's that miserable, stop watching.
This thread was pretty damn positive the first month. Then it turned into a carbon copy of last season of having a horrible May and June and digging into a huge hole. I still watch most games but have stopped going out of my way to watch

I agree with this. Last night I turned the game off when PCA grounded into a DP to end the 7th to watch the Olympics.

Just seems like with every loss, there's 10 posts about how bad this team is, which players suck, Jed sucks, etc. it's mostly true and deserved.

Last night after maybe the best 9th inning of the year, and the night before with the best offensive output of the year, there's crickets for the most part.

I dozed off and missed the 9th. Woke up to the Swanson interview. When we gave up the lead I went from thinking we need a sweep to I hope we can salvage a split. Hopefully Assad is sharp like his last start and can get us one step closer.

Be tied in the win column with the Cardinals if they sweep. I just think that would be funny. I firmly believe the Redbirds aren’t as good as their record.

He's got a long way to go yet with the bat, but PCA is going to be such a valuable player if he can even get close to league average at the plate. He's the best CF defensively in baseball already IMO and he's borderline unstoppable on the basepaths at the moment.

It's all about obp with PCA. League average and he's an all star.

Suzuki does a lot of bonehead stuff that really wasn't one of them. Trying to get to third with less than 2 outs. Just guessed wrong. And yes it's easier to say when you see the ******* Cards botch the play into a run.
