CF double entendre aside, no, I did not. I am not totally stupid about snow removal considering I am well into the age demographic that gets killed by shoveling via the good old classic American heart attack ack, ack, ack, ack, ack.
Pulled the little Toro out yesterday and did the 5" or so. Will pull out the bigger Toro for the wet 7" that fell overnight. It's an old guy like me and the old models had a smaller diameter impeller so not so great in really wet stuff. Hoping there isn't a layer of slush under this snow.

I've really been wanting one of the electric snow sweeps, just not sure it is worth it for the max 4 or 5 times per year I'd use them.
Kind of like when you accidently remind your wife it's been a full year since there was last a measurable event, she says no way it hasn't been, and you tell her to look at the calendar... er weather reports.
Would think the Sierras and Rockies would dissipate a good chunk of it.
You want a lot of snow? I can round up some dump trucks and for a fee you can have your yard 10 foot deep.

So is all that moisture going to help their drought conditions or is it coming too quickly to get absorbed?
While they will definitely get a lot of runoff, they need it to refill their reservoirs. They massive increase in snowpack the mountains will get is also hugely beneficial for that region. I would say this is definitely helping their drought situation.
On the flip side, they will also have flooding and mudslide issues that will be severe as well.
My understanding is it’s missing their big reservoirs to the north, but that was based on the forecast for Sacramento and that area with limited reservoir capacity.
