Still two days out obviously but the current axis for best chance of accumulation is SW Iowa up through DSM/Ames into NE Iowa.

Explain this to me by yelling at me via a youtube video.
The warm sector has eroded meaning the chance of convective activity is pretty much gone. Already starting to see some clearing in far SW Iowa that should it make it's way across a good chunk of the southern half of the state. Some far southern areas may tickle the 60 degree mark today.
Always nice when the southern areas get tickled.....The warm sector has eroded meaning the chance of convective activity is pretty much gone. This is why I love CF! Giggles on a Monday morning.Always nice when the southern areas get tickled.....
Any precip likely wouldn't start until late on Wednesday so I am not too worried about travel then. 5-8" seems to be a pretty good bet in the main swath. And looks like there is no firm way to project snowfall and road conditions yet for Wed-Thurs?
Bastard - keep that MFer dry as a bone.I'll go get some gas for the snow blower after work and this storm will disappear..
The thing with this one is the low is right on us so there is ample shear to get things spinning IF things develop later.

That warm sector was able to squeak out just enough lift to spawn a small thunderstorm in western Linn County
It appears the roads will be quite moist. And looks like there is no firm way to project snowfall and road conditions yet for Wed-Thurs?
Heard it here in CR too, up by the north TargetSW Linn county...we had a few crashes of thunder that shook the house this morning. My kids came running out of their rooms...felt like April!
