47% still went in. What do you think of a player who only shot 43% (40.6% in conference) but attempted 12 shots per game? Jones is not great but he is not as bad as some people think. He is a serviceable backup center.

I would like some more information about this hypothetical player since no one with that profile was on this year’s team.

I love Rob. His post game has grown tremendously, and his discovery of the pin-point kick-out pass in the last few games was outstanding. A lot of his usage was by necessity. But, in a vacuum, he was NOT an efficient offensive player.

Check 2004-2005 team. Did I say he was an efficient offensive player? He is not. People are too harsh on Jones while loving a player who was even worse than Jones offensively

If Jones can improve as much between now and next season as he did between his sophomore and Jr year I'm fine with him starting. Remember we have one of the best post development coaches in Green in the nation.
Also I thought Ward was playing much better at the end of the season. Remember Ward got here late last year and took longer to use to Big 12 basketball. Another year with Greens coaching and I believe Ward will be much improved.

Can you just say the players name so we arent playing this weird comparison game without knowing half the argument
I'm guessing Michael Jacobson. Unfortunately he's pulling his senior year stats which we're his worst and also a team that was pretty bad. The previous year he shot 57%. But whatever to fit your narrative

If so that would be a surpremely stupid argument since Jacobson in fact did shoot 3s.

And also, the love for him wasn't because he was this insanely talented basketball player. He was fine, but he was one of the few guys that actually gave a **** about being a Cyclone under Prohm after all of Freds players left

I feel like Jacobsen shot a decent amount of mid range jumpers too.
