I'm happy with the 3 guys we got, so don't take this the wrong way, but how do some of you feel about Williams to Tech. I mean CW made it sound like it was mutual that he didn't fit here but why does he fit at Tech more? Just curious is all.

Williams is a better overall player than C Jones but DW is a prototypical small ball 4 in the college game. That is a position we are crowded at. I would of still preferred to land the best player available and figure it out later, however, I can see why C Jones is a better roster fit. I hope CJ continues to improve like he did exponentially from year 1 to year 2 at Buffalo!

Coming off a Bama visit... CB's to Bama too. Happy he appears to not be heading to Purple Kansas

Huge get for KU and they are hosting Dickinson and Harrison Ingram this week.
I’d they land their targets they could be preseason #1

Could be Williams was non-commital during his visit, so TJ decided not to play the wait and see game with him. Moved on to the guys that indicated they wanted to be Cyclones.
Could be $.
Unless I am mistaken, TT is paying all athletes, men and women , all sports $35k

We backed off him because he was wanting a fat stack of cash and that rubbed the coaches the wrong way

Agree - I never saw Williams as fitting a need for us. I am very pleased with the three guys we got, and I believe they fit our needs extremely well. I also like that they are multi year guys. I think we can be pretty good next year - and beyond. I think our roster gives TJ tremendous flexibility - it will be interesting to see how he chooses to play new year. We do not have a dynamic post player - but most teams do not either. I do think the Ward/ Jones duo will be serviceable. I really like Ward - hoping he can significantly improve - he will likely get significant minutes.
