It took a few minutes for them to get into the game, but they are certainly in it now.
US had a great first half. My concern is whether or not they have enough stamina to stay at this pace for another half.
Seriously one of the more entertaining 0-0 halves you're going to see anywhere.
So is my math right that a draw does us absolutely no good? Wondering if we're tied late whether it's be worth pushing up to try to get the 3 points even if that puts us at risk of conceding a goal?
We draw here and we control our own destiny. We would need only a tie against Iran to advance (we would have them in goal differential: 0 for us; -2 for them).
Even losing here, assuming we keep the score low, like 1-0, isn't disastrous - it would just mean we would have to beat Iran and hope Wales doesn't go off on England.
But if we lose here and beat Iran we're in too, right? Unless Wales beats England worse than we beat Iran I guess.
That England Wales game has some potential to get weird if England has already won the group.
Even if the ref hasn't been showing cards, I really don't have a ton of complaints about the reffing of this game so far.
