It won't be insanely cold and super snowy.

That would be good since we are all (at least natural gas heating peeps) going to start seeing the chargebacks for the Texas fiasco last season. Utility companies are getting the approvals to pass on the cost. Here in Minnesota it's going to be around $400 for the average customer. They are going to lay it out like a assessment over 24 months or so IIRC.

Every week of warm weather is a week closer to spring. I’ll take it!

This is how I think about it as well. Every day that it doesn’t snow is less snowpack to deal with. Seems like the worst thing about winter is when you get those 4-8 inch snows stacking on top of each other every week or every other week.

did anyone else laugh at the neighbors who shoveled their driveway this morning? I’m mainly talking to Ames people since the snow was already melted away by noon.

Weather history.............Dec. 14th, 1975 temps were abnormally warm for Iowa.....thunderstorms swept across the state and one of only three tornadoes ever recorded in Iowa for the month of December hit near Maquoketa.

Wednesday sounds extremely ominous. Like derecho or massive tornado outbreak level from some of the stuff I've seen on Twitter. Any weather experts on here have any insight?
