Horrible foul call on OU there. Shooter gave him strong forearm. Can they reverse it? They're reviewing it.

OU played pretty decent half but they really got ****ed by some officiating, first game where I've seen lopsided calls make a difference.

Can’t think of a better way for jorbozo to go out, 0 points, terrible defense (as always) and flagrant foul
Has he said he's not coming back for sure? I wouldn't be surprised at all if he does. He likes the attention and he will never get more of it than he does as a member of the basketball team. Nobody will care about that douche once he leaves and he knows that.

Big10 going down. TOE predictably goes down. Fran fades. Jorbo chokes. There goes another national championship. Back to mediocrity.

With yard work done came in and checked the score. Time for a celebrative beer. What a glorious day.

Fran McCaffery is a tournament-worst 0-6 in the Round of 32.

More tournament facts about Oregon and Iowa on today's blog. I will post other tournament facts after each game today. (Plus other facts here)

Duck message board:

Oregon has done far better at guarding the 3 from anyone not named Garza than I expected. Also, Iowa's defense is just absolute Swiss cheese. It's obvious that they've pretty much phoned it in in the second half, but it wasn't good in the first half when they were giving full effort. They need 3 more players on the court to stop Oregon's offense.

This game is why Altman is a premiere coach, adapt to the talent you have and get the most out of them. He doesn’t whine at the refs, make excuses about seeding/etc, embarrass his players. Just show up and play.

Altman is the man. He made the right coaching adjustments, and Iowa coach is lost.

Love these updates. Thanks.

"Oregon and Oregon State are in the Sweet Sixteen in the same tournament for the first time ever." ... that didn't even dawn on me.

Oklahoma lost in Round of 32 to Virginia in 2019. If Gonzaga wins the title, it will be the second straight year that they had to play the eventual champ in the second round.

We had quite the streak of that as well. Not in consecutive years, but North Carolina back in 2005, Kentucky with Royce, UConn with Georges.
