***Official 2019-2020 Transfer Thread***

Probably asking a question nobody knows, but has JCL given any type of timeline? CW recently mentioned he felt good about it, but that is all I’ve seen since he put his list out.

Idk if there’s anybody on their team that we’d take but this could lead to some transfers

Most of their best players were seniors.

That 6'3" freshman guard (Davis) had... zero attempts from three.

That 6'2" junior (Pipes) was 52/117 for 44.4% for three, though, which is interesting. You might be able to make that into a good bench gunner at a high-major level.

Even if he would perhaps have to be a sit one/play one.

But yeah, not a good team with a lot of obviously attractive options.

obviously we weren’t recruiting him but South Alabama has picked up some solid transfers for their level

Surprised he didn't go high level but what do I know

He had over a 100 Ortg with high usage on a poor offensive team in a conference that’s a couple steps above the low majors. That’s pretty good. Now he’s leveling down. I’ve never seen him play but am guessing he just doesn’t have the raw materials to compete defensively at a higher level.

my tagline for 2020 cyclone pandemic college hoops?

the best time to have the worst team for the worst season.

I would trade a bad basketball year (or three) for one good football year. And we were about to have an excellent football year by our standards.

This sucks.

I would rather watch us lose than not watch at all.

I’d rather bank a schollie or two, or get two sit outs and either get some mid year transfers(McKay/Burton) or sit outs like Fred’s first year and go from there. Prohm likely survives next off season anyways so might at well build up for a run.

3 walkons. 3 open schollys. It all makes sense now. Can’t let them transfer out. Prohm is a genius.

Any knowledge of what sitouts we’re in on? Redshirt transfers compete for room with 2021 recruits, and we seem to hear more about that activity recently.

Holding spots open is okay in theory, but only if you actually get mid-year guys. Another season with unused scholarships isn’t a good trend imo.
