***Official 2019-2020 Transfer Thread***

How would you possibly know that?

The Ivy League does not allow postgraduates to compete.

That was why, say, Hans Brase (remember him?) became available.

He is either just fiddling around for a final year or working on more majors/minors.

Especially if they are a lot more willing to give waivers this year. But I’d take him either way.

I'm not sure ISU is really looking to take 4 immediately eligible players with the open roster spots regardless. That is too much new blood to integrate especially with as shortened off season to get chemistry. I assume they are planning on 1 or 2 to be sit out transfers to help balance the classes and not have issues with players wanting more time on the floor.

Keep in mind Prohm has to balance roster composition with potentially saving his job this upcoming season. Don’t be surprised if he’s heavier on the immediately eligible players.

Retire this terminology.

Guessing Dartmouth looks pretty good on a resume as a Grad school as well..

If he's going to play basketball next year for Dartmouth he won't be a grad student, it's against Ivy League rules.

He won't be graduating from Dartmouth until after he plays basketball next year.

If he was going to come to ISU he would've had to graduate this summer.

Trying to keep my list updated, removed Brandon Barry and Tyrese Martin, who else am I missing for possible targets?

PF Justin Turner (GT): Mizzou, Xavier, Marquette, Arkansas, Louisville, ISU
SG Alan Griffin (T-2): Arizona, Dayton, ISU, Miami, Syracuse, Texas
CG Jamarius Burton (T-2):
CG Keon Ellis (JC): 3/17/20
PG Justice Hill (JC): Salt Lake CC - 6'0"
PG Darious Perry (T-1):
CG AJ Walker (T-2)
SG RayQuawndis Mitchell (JC): Otero CC/Blaine, MN - 6'4" 180lb.
SG Trey McGowens (T-2):
I hope this is legit list. Justin Turner would be a massive get.

As far as AJ Walker: can he even transfer? He's at Air Force, so isn't he forced to stay in it because of his service?

ISU should be getting to make their virtual case with Trey.

@jakeweingarten Alabama, Auburn and Pittsburgh are the newest schools involved in Murphy III’s recruitment, he told @Stockrisers. As far as the virtual visits, he will also look at Arkansas, Xavier and Iowa State.
@jakeweingarten Rice transfer Trey Murphy III is one of the hottest names on the transfer portal. He updated @Stockrisers on who’s reached out and it includes 30+ schools. Plus, he says he will virtually visit UConn and Creighton.

Does that count as an official virtual visit:confused:

Right. I much prefer ISU not being on any recruit's list.
I appreciate your sarcasm, but point stands that Prohm is frequently in contact with, or on a final list of, several spring recruits, transfers etc each spring, but the yield for the most part has been less than fruitful over the years.
