Lol joking right?

No. It's also not even relatively close. One is 6'5 shooting 44% on huge volume from three scoring over 20 per with good efficiency and rebounds okay.

The other is 6'1, chucks it at a high rate with low efficiency, uses a ton of possessions, doesn't assist, turns it over a lot and doesn't really rebound. We just had one of those and I don't want another one.

Watching his video he can play Division I. As example he is way more explosive and athletic then Ozier.

He's not all that explosive and he doesn't finish with his left hand but he can shoot. Shooting translates at the volume he did it. He looks good enough on the bounce to keep people honest but he's a shooter which for me is a bigger need than PG right now since it doesn't look like we will get a really good one. Get shooters and win with space. I think Prohm can make a decent offense if he has shooters and space, plus you give Young more space.

Pull Tre into your office and tell him you want this to be his team. Put it all on his shoulders because I think he can handle it and he's the only guy I trust to set a work ethic standard in the off-season. I know he's a sophomore and I know some are down on him but you have to push your chips in somewhere sometime and I just don't know that there will be a better PG option at this point.

Duncan Robinson transferred from D3 to Michigan, now plays for the Heat

And set records this year. I'm sorry, I can't get him out of my head as a comp. Similar size, similar athleticism, snipers. Robinson was a touch taller but that wasn't a huge deal for his game.

Anyone have examples of D-II players transferring to P6 schools to compare to? Gillespie from Baylor is the only one I can think of off the top of my head. He was D-III and ended up being a really good play at the P6 level. Crazy how a guy like that can fall through the cracks.

Also, does anyone know if top DII schools are better than bottom D1 schools? Similar to the top FCS schools are better than the bottom of the FBS? Just curious.

Are you trying to find history to support or condemn? He's the only thing you can really know for certain some 4* like Long and Lewis don't work out. Other 3* like Haliburton seize the opportunity and run with it.

There’s nothing wrong with rebuilding. We had a rebuild year two years ago. Now another one having the worst year since what, the 70’s? And it looks like a rebuild year again next year.

This team approximated McDs best one. Maybe a touch worse, but hardly a vast difference. It was definitely not the worst team since the 70s

Whoops. I missed the Than, I read it the other way.

Throw a bag of money at Justin Kier, and Chaundee Brown. Apologize to Buggs for slow playing him. Take those 3 into next season and get ready to go dancing.

Maybe Prohm will finally break and go full Pete Bell.

I feel like I would be pretty excited to take a shot at this kid even if we weren't in the dire situation we are in.

He has size and shooting two things you can never have too much of.

DIII Freddy Gillipsie (Carleton College)

I lived Northfield, MN for awhile and I played on better pick-up teams at Beyer than what Carleton suits up. It's nothing short of a miracle that Gillepsie was allowed to walk-on at Baylor.

According to this on Apr 17, there are 38 point guards available to transfer. It changes drastically in a day. I see we were on the Feazelle kid a couple of years ago and he is in the portal now, good size and would be a nice pick up

<a href="https://247sports.com/Season/2020-Basketball/TransferPortal/">247 Sports transfer portal list</a>
1.4 ppg on 33% shooting as a junior, I don’t think that would be a nice pickup

Bart Torvik had the last McD team at #70.

#96 on offense (how the ****...?*) and #58 on defense

The most recent Prohm team was #90.

#50 on offense and #148 on defense

That includes the "hard times" at the end of the season with Tyrese hurt, Bolton hurt, and Nixon taking like 30 shots per game or whatever it was.

I do not remember that last McD team having significant injuries -- the early departure of Lucca Staiger is on the coach, not some sort of bad luck.

Give me a healthy Tyrese and Bolton and tell Nixon the wrong day to show up for the game, and I would take the Prohm team. The McD team had more talent, but zero cohesion on offense, and I trust Tyrese to go out and win it in a cripple fight.

*you had ******* Craig Brackins, Marquis Gilstrap, Diante Garrett, three excellent shooters in Staiger, Thug Life, and Big Silky, and a future NBA guy in Justin Hamilton and you STILL managed to make a ****** offense, HOW!!???!
