Seems like there's a 12 over 5 upset every year.

Pretty close: Only 4 times since 1985 that at least one 12 didn't advance: 1988, 2000 and 2007 and 2015.

If fact, 2000 had only 3 seed-upsets in first round (two 10s and an 11). But then it got totally bonkers --- only 7 of the top-4 seeds reached Sweet 16, with two 10s and two 8s getting to second weekend. Elite 8 had only one 1 and one 2 (***sigh***) and two 8 seeds made the Final 4.

I don't have the hatred for Purdue that I do for most of the teams who have knocked us out of the tournament. Feel bad for this guy. Senior year, good team...bummer.

Me, too. I typically advance a 12 or 13 to Sweet 16 each year. Can be high-risk/medium-reward, but I don't like beging too chalky anyway.

Not one of my prouder moments, but I got super drunk the night Georges broke his foot (was angry about said foot). Was walking home from a bar and got lost. It was a quarter mile. Bar closed at 2am. Got home at 4:30.
