Miss Steinbrenner? There is still a Steinbrenner in charge and they are the third best team in baseball and play in a different league than the Cubs and Brewers.

The Brewers were a lot more tolerable before they put the Wisconsin resident ticket plan in place. Their fans suck so much.

Its rough when you have a home series in September against the team your chasing for the Division, your stadium is overrun by the opposing fan base, you win 2 of 3 games, You only make up 1 game in your chase, and you still are 4 games back with the Cardinals still nipping on your heal.

BTW - Reds now officially eliminated.

It's interesting, when I think of Manny, I will always remember his play during the 1980 season - culminating in a NLCS MVP with the Phillies who would end up winning the WS that year - heckuva team. (Although, his best season batting averages were with the Cubbies in 86 & 87). During my youth, the Brewers were in the AL East, but he was one of my favorite NL players (kinda lets you know how old I am).

Is it me, or does it look like Chavez throws harder than the low to mid-90’s they clock him at? Maybe it’s his delivery or that late cutting action. With the exception of his outing a couple of days ago, he has been very sharp/explosive.
