MLB: ***Official 2018 Chicago Cubs Season Thread***

Next two games are as close to must wins as it gets

I wouldn't say that since we have 17 games left after this series and at worst would be 1 GB if we got swept. Fact is the Brewers are red hot right now, and the Cubs are not. I guarantee you that flips before the end of the season. The fact that we have 4 of 19 games left this season that are played outside the City of Chicago could prove to be huge. We get the sleep in our own beds the last 12 nights of the season.

I’ll say it...

3 days off between August 21 and the last game of the season, September 30, is awful scheduling by the MLB.

Due to rain delays, the cubs have ONE SCHEDULED DAY OFF between August 21st and September 30th.

39 games in 40 days...damn near expecting the Cubs to play at Jesus level which is just impossible, folks.

MLB should move the Nationals game to the last day of the season and cancel the game altogether if the Cubs clinch the division before then.

Shame on MLB for letting it get to where it is right now.

Cubs had more days off in July NOT including the All-Star break then they are receiving in September.

They had 5 scheduled days off in May.

2. 2 scheduled days off in September.

I don’t know what LaStella was complaining about on his chopper.
He was trying to get a catchers interference call. He took a really late and choppy swing in an attempt to hit the catchers mit. He has done that successfully at least 3 time this year. I think he assumed he made contact? Not sure.

Off chance that he had a point, but the guy's gotta run that one out. Bases would have been loaded with that Brewer defense in action.
