Whoa dukes in on a transfer. Now I’ve seen everything.

Yeah they have got a few recently. I don't really understand them going after Lewis to be honest. They basically have their pick of any freshman they want that can come in and play right away. Not sure why they want a sit out transfer. Also, Why would Lewis even risk going to Duke knowing they will probably get the best point guard in the country out of high school or the fact they have one of the best ones now that will probably be around for two more years.

Curious if the AD moved on Oats so quickly to try and stop the attrition of the program.
Kira has a good chance at the NBA possibly next year if he performs. He could be convinced to not sit out a year if he believes in Oats and his role. Big ask for anyone especially a young UB coach but worth a shot.

I wonder if ISU has the entire staff or just sent Kane. I assume with Small and Prohm visiting Nadolny yesterday they'd make time for a detour on the way home to see Kira.
Any case the fact ISU is visiting Kira's has at least some genuine interest in ISU.

You don’t recall them getting the lesser Curry brother? A few years ago they also got Sean Obi from Rice, who was an in-demand transfer.

It's been longer than I think, but Rodney Hood from Mississippi State.

All good points. Of course most recruits (and even us posters) would visit with Coach K and get a 5 star trip to Durham if they called and wanted pitch their plan.

I am sure Coach K would rather have a top 50ish RS Jr who practiced in the system over a year taking over the PG duties on campus then needing to get a top 50ish PG, getting his commitment, and starting him Day 1.

At the very least, we should have a little bit more of an idea where we stand after this. I'd love to get Lewis but if we don't have a shot, it'd be nice to move on to other players ASAP.

Ehhh. You said the same thing about Iowa St winning another game after the WVU debacle, so let's hope you're shocked again.

I WAS shocked. I was equally NOT shocked when we peed down our leg against OSU. So not shocked that I bet on OSU to win, as well as cover.

Lewis would be a massive get. He's better than THT or TH.

Younger than both.

Just curious why this is interesting? We have never showed interest in this kid. Is it just because he was a top 150 kid?

Just a high quality talented option at PG with 3 years left to play. No obvious ISU ties though I did immediately recognize the name so ISU may have watched him last summer.

The way things are trending it woulnd;t surprise me if playwrs don;t lose a year iof their coach is fired. It seems like waivers are granted all the time.

Lots of guys transfer to teams that weren't high on their initial recruiting list. Top 150 makes him interesting to me without further information.

One time isu target

It seems he likes playing Purdue.

He scored 16 in 22 minutes against the Boilermakers, in his only BIG 10 start.

He also scored 16 against Purdue-Fort Wayne.

A combined 20-25 on FTs in those two games.

Didn’t do much at Clemson 2.0 ppg 2.0 rpg but ISU did have interest last spring. My guess is Drake is all over this kid to come home (Ames high grad)
