NBA: ***Official 2017-2018 Playoffs Thread***

I would think LeBron would say in the East just because he is guaranteed to make the Finals. However, if he went to the West, the Western Conference Finals would essentially become the NBA finals, so LeBron could go all out there, and then rest by playing 30 minutes a game in the NBA finals.

I don't think Lebron wants his legacy to be a 3-10 finals record, so the Western conference may be more appealing than we think. Part of Jordan's mystique developed because he missed the finals rather than lose in the finals.

Plus, Philly and Boston are going to make much harder for him to make the finals in the East.

Jordan basically closed his career (minus Washington) winning the finals 6 of 7 seasons. Had he not left to play baseball I believe he would have went to 8 straight finals. I do not believe he would have won them all though.

The Bulls vs the Rockets teams that won back to back in MJ's absence would have been epic, probably the best team MJ would have faced in the finals. They were loaded. If Orlando could have kept Shaq and a healthy Penny, they would have been a big threat as well. They beat MJ pretty easy in the '95 EC semi's.

Didn't watch after game one, but do the same officials work more than one game in the finals?
How does the league office handle the missed calls they admitted to in the last minute of game one?

There's a pool of twelve officials selected to officiate the Finals based on their performance in the three previous rounds. The individual assigments are posted one day before each game, so the crew should be at least slightly different each game.

I'm not sure how the Last Two Minute report factors into things or if the officials are graded on that.

See all the Cavs fans that have been complaining about the refs all series have been quiet tonight.

I thought that last foul that gave Durant the three point play was barely any contact. LeBron gets pushed twice that hard every possession.

Forearms to the back of the next when rebounding is okay if you play for the Warriors.
