Very. Kind of surprising, too. The article I read said she had been battling illness. I'm surprised they had been able to keep it under wraps.
I didn't care for how TNT handled it at first, asking Lebron for a reaction in his postgame inteview. But overnight Lebron made a statement that the sideline reporter had informed him of the death before the interview and asked him if he wanted to commetn on it.
I'm still not wild about them even asking in the first place - there's a time and place for that sort of thing, but at least they had the courtesy to give him a heads-up before the interview started.
After last night I'm feeling pretty good about the Cavs Pacers series going at least six games, maybe seven. It took a superhuman game from Lebron just to eke out a win at home on a night where Indy's best player couldn't get into a rhythm due to foul trouble in the first half, and the Pacers shot 6-22 from three. The Cavs are seriously flawed.
Not surprising news, but it is official now that Popovich will miss Game 3 of the Spurs Warriors series tonight.

I know this game is early but if Pelican's take this game and go up 3-0 and thus likely take this series, Golden St. could get quite the fight in the second round. Gentry has NO playing very well.

With Embiid in the game, that’s a dynamic team. They have a good roster, tanking worked out for them.
Blazers and Spurs both down 3-0, and are likely toast. NBA teams in 3-0 hole are something like 0-127 all-time.
If Sixers can keep a good chunk of that roster together even for a few years, they should be dominant, loaded with so much young talent. Embiid, Saric, Simmons, Fultz …
Just imagine if they Sixers hadn't totally whiffed on Okafor and the Nerlens Noel trade. They have built quite a roster while having a few real bad drafts, with the outcome on Fultz also remaining to be seen.
