So much better seeing Ernie Johnson back in the studio for NBA with Shaq, Charles, and Kenny. Keep him and Ron Darling and Cal out of the baseball booth.
I think it makes sense given how he's played hurt so much of his career. Have him be his hyper self out there.
Great game to start the season for the Bulls.
Even ignoring the health side of it, I think his energy would be tough for 2-deeps to handle which can be pivotal in those transitions when trying to keep or snag momentum.
However, Barkley may be right in that not having him out there may cause their defense to suffer early if they don't place more emphasis on that side of the ball. Cleveland started out with some success and they weren't even on their A game.
Too early to tell but Mirotic doesn't look like he's going anywhere. Noah over Gasol is a possibility though.
Moore looked good in the time he got on the floor as well.
My friend and I were discussing this over lunch. Does Turner not have someone better to do play by play. Ernie is great in the studio probably no one better, but as far as calling games woof.
Going to be interesting to see how Gentry does in New Orleans this year. They've got some interesting pieces in place there.
