*** Official 2015-16 NBA Regular Season Thread ***

Thank goodness I will have something else to watch in Hotel rooms next week instead of the World Series.

If Gilbert is willing to pay all that tax more power to him. The Cavs were so far over the cap already, it's not like they could have used that money to sign someone else.

It's fine this year but good luck paying Mozgov next year.

Season less than a week away. I see the Tristan Thompson holdout is over.

Five-year, $85 million deal that makes him sixth-highest paid power forward in the league

I've seen $82 million everywhere else but either way that's a lot of money for a guy with basically no offensive game. It's crazy that he wanted a max deal which would have been $94 mil (!)

Gilbert wants his championship now.

Not a big Dan Gilbert fan, but I respect owners who want to win. Seems to me like that's the fun part of owning a pro sports team. I get owners who want to save money when their team isn't a contender, but it drives me nuts when owners of teams who are serious title contenders are more worried about saving a little money. Mickey Arison amnestying Mike Miller to save $7M when the Heat were going for a three-peat, Robert Saver selling off first round picks multiple years in a row during the Nash-D'Antoni run in Phoenix, I just don't understand that mindset.

TT can grab offensive rebounds and dunk and that's all they need him for. The offense will come from LeBron, Love and Kyrie. That contract is ridiculous though. If TT is worth $17M/year Lebron deserves $75M/year.

I started a thread on this the other day but no replies.....

NBA League Pass...Anybody have this? I just cancelled my cable. I still have a cable box and the local channels. I have fast internet and a PS3 but no smart tv......Question, can I watch it over my PS3 or will it look like garbage? Do I just go ahead and get the smart tv?

Freudian slip? Yeah, Gilbert is going all in on the remaining years of Lebron's prime, and I don't blame him. And this year might be their best chance as long as they don't get decimated by injuries again. Anthony Davis keeps getting better, and KD could take up residence in the Eastern conference next year and change the balance of power.

So much LOL here. What's the over/under for when Kobe suffers his latest season ending injury? 20 games? 25?
Even if he somehow miraculously stays healthy they still won't even sniff the playoffs.
