I don't know, I think the off the court stuff will exclude a lot of teams from even considering him. He's got a very strong personality and he's going to have to find a team that fits with his personality and beliefs.

I hear you loud and clear on the Pacers, but I can't pick against them. As a basketball fan I hope KG and PP can put together one last run and make that series a classic, but I have a sinking feeling that while they'll give it whatever they have left, this series is basically going to amount to Lebron giving them a firm shove towards retirement.
I like watching Portland, but they're going to find pretty quickly that it's harder to score when it isn't five on four (cough, James Harden, cough). When in doubt, go with the team with more experience. With OKC and the Clips, the x factor is Westbrook. Do we see the disruptive defender who scores in bunches or the trigger happy ballhog who needs thirty shots to score 25?
Looks like Indiana still sucks. I just don't get it. Some sort of switch was flipped with that team towards the end of March.
I wish Iowa had an NBA team
Even though I am currently enrolled here at Iowa State, I guarantee you that as soon as I graduate I would look forward to investing towards some NBA season tickets if it were in central Iowa. What's the smallest NBA team hosting city anyways? Surely Des Moines can't be that far off population wise. But I also think we have had hard time supporting minor league teams over the years which def wouldn't help bring a franchise to town
Des Moines metro population is around 600K, maybe 650 if you count Pella and Newton. Not enough to support a pro basketball team, especially not with the Cyclones and Hawks garnering most of the attention. I'm not saying it could never happen, but certainly not any time soon. I don't think the NBA will expand anytime soon, and when they do Seattle is first in line for a new franchise.
In other news, I see the Pacers have resorted to having David West try to scare some life into Roy Hibbert -

He looked totally broken from a mental standpoint last night. I don't know how they'll get him back on track. That said, I think they win Game 2. Trevor Ariza won't shoot like that again and this time around Vogel won't hesitate to go small if Hibbert continues to struggle.
I tuned in to the Cippers-Thunder game with about 4 mins left in the 3rd qtr and the Clips were up by 22 pts.
And then, amazingly, right before my eyes, I see the Thunder resorting to "hack a Shaq" on the Clippers Jordan. I couldn't believe what I was seeing. An entire quarter and 4 mins left to go, and the Thunder were intentionally fouling Jordan from the Clippers every time down the court. It was sad.
That's like basically saying to the Clippers, yeah we can't stop you at all, so we're resorting to this cheap tactic to try to get back in the game. I couldn't believe how badly they were being dominated.
And then Indiana, wow. What another huge disappointment. Guys like Roy Hibbert just tick me off to no end. He can't be giving any kind of effort at all. I don't know how else a 7'2" guy doesn't just accidentally get more rebounds than he does?
