Not just Saban,.....

My point is,,,,,,,veterinary medicine has dealt with zoonotic viruses several times in my life.

Until an effective vaccine is developed, social distancing, mask up always, ignore political noise and TRUST that science is way more important than anything else,

I work for a manufacturing company that employees about 100 people. Since the start of Covid, no one wears a mask at work, there has been no work from home, no furloughs, and there is no social distancing. At first it scared the crap out of me. I limited my interaction with people and tried to spend more time at my desk. But, in approximately 7 months we have had just three people test positive for Covid. All several weeks apart. We have seen no community spread. Each positive case has been traced back to a family member of that person.

If someone feels sick, they stay home and they must get a test before they can return to work. If they test positive, they can not return to work until their doctor allows. Personally, I thought we were not taking it seriously enough but the results have been ok. A plus is that no one has missed a single pay check. Even those that test positive, get paid during isolation.

I guess your company's strategy of getting lucky is working. And in reality, there's probably a lot of small businesses that could use that strategy and get by without issue. But all it takes is one or a few asymptomic spreaders to make that strategy look like negligence.

Imagine that. A company that stayed in business and didn’t bankrupt its employees and the company itself and nothing has happened
