North Dakota St. Game?

cmon guys, a MAJORITY of us NDSU fans are from Minnesota and Twin Cities, so there is a natural hate for IOWA Hawkeye's.

So there should be no animosity towards NDSU from ISU.

and for god's sake, don't listen to some dork from So. Dakota St. all they have is a girls bball team.

Actually, I think most of the animosity is directed at posters from NDSU, not the school itself.

I've seen ISU lose to teams that I didn't think it was possible to lose to and I've seen them beat teams I didn't think they had a chance in.

I think they will win rather easily...but I wouldn't bet my life on it.

I understand your point. But this game, coming as it is just before Iowa, is different than looking at Herman's body of work, IMO. We will do what we need to to beat NDSU, but the only thing we really have going into the Iowa game is the advantage of surprise. I've got to believe we will try to NOT run a few things and save them for Iowa, if we can. As crappy as we have been over the last few years, we can take nothing for granted. And, we should approach each opponent with outward humility and inward intensity and determination. We have a hell of a lot to prove before we can be talking about winning easily or blowing them out in any match up.

What a couple of Debbie Downers. :jimlad:

Actually, you two are pretty much right. I should know enough not to have huge expectations.

I guess I should also clarify my stance with "I hope no one gets a freak season-ending injury in this game" like the defensive end from Dowling did in the first half against UNI a few years ago.

Still, wouldn't it be nice to have a huge lead at halftime and ISU plays the starters for the first offensive and defensive series in the second half?

That'd be great, but I bet the coaches play their first/second rotations as much as possible in this game, because the players are going to need as much game speed experience with these schemes as they can get. Especially with a big game the second week of the season.

ISU would do themselves a favor to let their non-season ticket holders buy single game tickets earlier.

There's a big game the second week of the season? Hadn't heard much about it.:jimlad:

Dear God, please let there be a day when we don't have a 12 page thread about playing NDSU. Please make us relevant in the B12 soon.

Yea see we don't actually play Iowa, the fans just like to bother each other constantly. It passes the time.

not 1 post in here today? but 150 posts on bisonville.com from cyclone fans?

that seems odd.

p.s- most of us NDSU fans are Ex-Gopher Fans who want a D1 team to root for, therefore NDSU is the ticket for us.

so it's not like we are a fanbase strictly of nodak's, we are north dakota & Minnesota at this college!

I will be honest... I am not too familiar with SDSU/NDSU/ UND/USD. Until this year I could not have told you that NDSU played football on the same level as SDSU/UND or even at all. So does NDSU aspire to be Minnesota’s equivalent of UNI?

oh, they don't know i've been D1 for my whole life, not just 2 years like most of them.

Apparently, We cant have some good trash talking, then you're labelled a certain way.

*sigh* return key works, so does MY CAPSLOCK! LETS PUMP IT UP AMES!!!!!

See you in the End Zone.!!

99% of Bison fans are very good, respectful fans.

We should bring around 10k down to Ames if the tix are available. It should be a good time in tailgating prior to the game. NDSU travels well.

Cyclones should win this one....easily....IMO...the Bison should put up a good showing. After a few FBS wins the last few yrs, many Bison fans expect a win in every FBS game. Every year a few FCS schools beat the "big boys" of FBS........could this be one of them?....maybe. For it to happen the Bison have to play mistake free ball and ISU has to have a terrible game. If we turn the ball over more than once or twice this could get ugly very fast.

Looking forward to the game.

Good luck to the Cyclones in the Big XII!
