North Dakota St. Game?

CiClone and others:

#1. So Dakota St hadn't beaten NDSU at home since 1952, so they were DUE last year.

#2. Whatever SDSU fans talked on your website, etc, NDSU fans like myself have 1 thing on our side: TRADITION>

NDSU has been there, done that, NDSU hasn't been blown out in a few years.

NDSU in FBS games is 3-4 points from being 5-0 in last 3 years.

NDSU is confident, our fans might be cocky, but we can back it up. We will pound you and pick you up after the play.

QB/RB/WR - Sen. QB Nick Mertens wants to rebound
RB's Pat Paschall/DJ Mcnortan & Matt Voit are solid
WR's = big question mark, lost 2-3 guys

OL - Incredible, Keith Buckman is all american, all experienced.

DL - Solid Solid Group, couple of seniors will not be pushed around

LB - last 2 MLB's are in the NFL, but return a STAR freshman *preston evans* & 5th year Tyler Henry

DB - #1 in FCS, fast, solid kids, best unit on team.

Coaches - Bohl got rail-roaded at Nebraska, and he knows the Big 12 and Big Games. NDSU will be coached to control line of scrimmage and the ball and WIN 21-17.

see you there!!

No way in Hell that NDSU holds ISU to 17 points. If NDSU wins, they're going to have score 45+

Pretty entertaining.

You do realize we had a decent offense (between the 20s) last year, and we have Rice's OC as our OC now? We're going to have 4 and 5 WR sets and drop 35+ points easily.

So you're defense is as good as Oklahoma State's last year (who we scored 17 points on)? Ok, sure.

You better score about 52 if you plan on winning, and that won't happen. Your offense won't touch Oklahoma State's, and they put up 59 last year.

I'll put it this way: Last year's ISU team, w/two QBs who had a total of about 20 snaps between them SLAUGHTERED a team that beat NDSU last year. ISU returns most of their weapons, including a settled QB, and a solid running game. NDSU loses most of their difference makers.

If this game is closer than 2 TDs, I'm going to be very scared about the rest of the season, and the Rhoads regime in general.

Didn't SDSU move the the ball pretty much at will in that game, but turn it over a bunch of times?

I really don't remember, just asking.

Again, Never compare NDSU to So. Dakota. St. EVER. our programs are like comparing Iowa State to Waldorf.

Im banking on this to shut down your passing game:

6 Bowman, Richard CB 5-8 172 Sr. Houston, Texas (North Shore HS) 32 Colvin, Derrius CB 5-9 170 Jr. South Holland, Ill. (Thornwood HS) 12 Mitchell, Courtney CB 5-8 176 Sr. Houston, Texas (Booker T. Washington HS) 13 Banks, Freddie DB 5-8 175 Jr. Harvey, Ill. (Mercyhurst College, Pa.) (Thornwood HS)

36 Lemon, Cyrus SS 5-10 195 Jr. Minneapolis, Minn. (DeLaSalle HS)

1. Wow, NDSU's program must be slipping if a program beat you at home for the first time in 56 years.
2. Tradition in DI? Central College has a tradition, as does my high school.
3. Careful, we ISU fans are very adpt in this type of debate. ISU was two plays away from beating CU and KU last year. I refer back to one of my previous posts in this thread of the past four years of Bison football- nothing to be alarmed about.
4. Be careful, law enforcement in Iowa views this as assault.

They had two turnovers inside the 20, but that doesn't change the fact that ISU killed a team that beat NDSU. After that game we were talking about how much speed our defense showed. SPEED. If you watched the ISU defense the last 10 games of last year, you know that FBS speed is not something that ISU defense possessed.

Yeah. Had they not thrown those 4 INTs they would've won!:jimlad: At least that's what they were saying on their forums.

We were up 34-3 going into the 4th quarter. They scored 2 TDs in the 4th, but I'm sure we had defensive subs in the game as well.

I'm banking on a 300 yard game from Austen Arnaud.

I am sure all of those 5-8 and 5-10 guys are just going to shut down our 6 feet+ WRs! LOL

They moved it some, but their quarterback was also very good at finding wide-open Cyclone defenders with his passes.

If interceptions counted in his completion percentage, then we helped him a great deal that day.

If those players were that great, they'd be playing Division 1 football. There is a reason they are at NDSU.

Arnaud vs Bowl Teams last year
Iowa: 224 yards in a wet mess
Kansas: 268 yards
Nebraska: 113 yards (Keep in mind Arnaud was injured during both Baylor and Nebraska and we had no backup since Bates had already left the team)
Oklahoma State: 240 yards
Missouri: 326 yards in FRIGID weather

This doesn't even take into account the 440 he threw on the board against K-State. I'd venture a guess says every one of those defenses is better than the NDSU defense.

Except ISU is an FBS program and Waldorf is DII. SDSU and NDSU are IN THE SAME CONFERENCE. Hello? McFly? Oh yeah, and SDSU BEAT NDSU last year. Waldorf has never played ISU, let alone beaten them.

As for the 2nd part, HAHAHAHAHA! Yeah right. Our QB dropped 440 in a Big 12 game, and you're going to shut down our passing game? Right...

I was asking because I was following it on Yahoo (no TV, natch:wink:), and I just remember that every time they seemed to get something going, or get close to punching it in, homeboy threw a pick.

I also remember ISU turned it over 3 times as well.
