Hyvee usually has itNever actual had one. I kind of want to go buy a sixer. Anyone know where I can find it? I'm in Johnston.
I'm starting to think you're not really the pope.Schlitz and Totinos frozen pizzas got me through college. Needless to say, I didn't have much leisurely income back then.
I remember being able to get it about 20 years ago and it was a decent lager for the price.Schlitz is an interesting story. It was the #1 selling beer for years, before prohibition I think. Then in the early 70s they changed the recipe and it was terrible. And they became a joke and went in the tank.
Pabst bought the brand name maybe 10 years ago and started brewing the original recipe again. I had some and it was honestly pretty good! So kind of bummer they arent' making it anymroe.
Yeah, it’s actually been pretty good for awhile, like Grain Belt. But it just never seem to find its crowd.Schlitz is an interesting story. I was a teenager in Carroll County in the 1970s and we were weaned on Schlitz.Maybe some old-timers would remember but was this not available in Iowa after a certain period? When I was a kid I spent a week or so at my grandparents in NE Iowa, and we took a trip to Dubuque. I have a memory of my grandpa driving over the river to pick up Schlitz. Entirely possible I'm hallucinating part or all of that story.
It's just Schlitz. Is PBR still being made? Says Pabst is stopping production but does that mean production of Schlitz?
