No More Horns Down

2 questions, will this also be enforce in the non con? Raging Cajuns want to know. If all 11 players throw a double horns down in unison is it only one penalty?

So....
If a certain team from a certain state that's directly north of Missouri is shining their shoes with the horns in the 4th qtr, can they perform some boisterous horns up hand signs for encouragement? :)

So I just spent three days in steer central. They are pretty salty about ISU thinking they can repeat their success. Evidently we snuck up on everyone last year. We should expect some payback according to them. Not much good to say about Ehringer.

All in all a pretty hok like crowd.

That would be amazing if you could actually get it done. It'd have to be student section ran, and you know they could never get near that organized.

I don’t know, the towel snake they built a few years ago was a work of art. Being an engineering school pays off sometimes!

I don't recall this, have any pics?
I may have pics...somewhere. I'm pretty sure that was the game that didn't happen - where we sat in the stands for several hours hoping the lightning would quit. We were on mobile passes that year, and we were directly across from the students. They were VERY entertaining that day/evening.

I don’t know what a towel snake is exactly but my first couple thoughts hypothesizing were not exactly G rated.

So, if a team were to make a big play against say the Texas and then throw a horns up in the general direction of the Texas team would that still be a penalty? I mean if Texas can throw the horns up after a touchdown why couldn't a team throw the same hand gesture for doing the same thing?:jimlad:

They had those rally towels that were handed out before the game. They started tying them together. At one point the snake started near the bottom of the lower deck and reached up to partway up the upper deck. It was pretty substantial. And not anything like you pictured it to be.

Maybe this was out there, if no horns down there should be no horns up. This sounds like it’s a Texas specific issue it should be nothing that disparaging to opponents can occur on field.

Snuck up on them so bad that we've beat them 2 years in a row?

This whole thing is a ridiculous endeavor.

I wonder how much **** players chirp between plays? I'm pretty sure that a little horns down signal is hardly comparable. Buncha pansies....

If you are up by 3 scores in the 4th quarter, worth the penalty.

Under 1 minute left in the game, 1st and 10 lining up in victory formation. Snap the ball, down the ball, and the entire team (on the field and on the sidelines) do horns down. Take the penalty and continue downing the ball. Game ends. Everyone Horns down as they run off the field.
