Lol this is only going to encourage fans to go bonkers with this. It’s going to have the opposite effect in a lot of ways.

My (at the time) 6-year-old son attended that Assalley game-winner FG game in JTS with me in 2019. That was of course the season where the league started to notably crack down on opposing team members throwing the Horns Down (poor Tom's feelings).

It was just the two of us that night; the rest of the family had some unfortunate schedule conflicts. Anyway, long story short, I retroactively apologize to everyone sitting in section 5 that night. My boy (so proud) was throwing the horns down and screaming the same each and every time the burnt orange touched the ball. Loyal. Forever. True.

Driving through Oklahoma I swear I saw more bumper stickers of this than sooner bumper stickers.

for lack of better terms, Texas lives rent free in their heads. I think every OU fan shown on the video board at the B12 championship threw the horns down despite not a single thing at that game had to do with Texas

Eh, its just a major rivalry. You see similar stuff with Michigan - Ohio State where the rivalry is strong 365 days of the year.

What's next..............no "guns up" for Tech. You know, someone really is trying to take all the fun out of athletics. It's BS. Someone needs to put up the youtube a few years ago when ESPN had gameday in Morgantown before their game against Pitt and WVU's version of "sweet caroline". This is what makes college athletics a great time. Some of these pencil neck know it all's in charge need to sit back, relax and enjoy an ice cold tall drink of grow the F up.

The crowd should chant Horns Down instead of Cyclone Power.

I am sure Coach (& Pollard)would think that would come back in the future and bite them in the arse.
Give ya props for thinking of it however. Would love to here it on a national broadcast.

If our crowd on the home side doesnt pre-plan a colored shirt seat design of a hand doing horns down when Texas is here like they did with Cyclone Power, what are we even doing

That would be amazing if you could actually get it done. It'd have to be student section ran, and you know they could never get near that organized.

What a bunch of cry babies

Sounds like we need to wear our "Horns down" t-shirts again this year.

As if the tea-sippers haven't always thrown "guns down" at Texas Tech, and Thumbs down to Gig 'em, Aggies...
