Where do you think Dishon and Nate will go?

Macari Moore was recruited as a PG correct? Is he able to fill in as Tamin's backup next year or is he expected to need a few years?

He’s not going to cut it. I think that’s easy to see but he has a lot of folks rooting for him.
Curtis jones averaged 2pts a game his first season at Buffalo. Rock may or may not develop like that, but let's not jump to conclusions just yet.

Remember how rough rob jones was year 1 vs the player he became at the end of his career?

Players can develop

And they have developed nicely with this staff beyond those two. Hassan Ward is another one.

Priority #1: Keep Lipsey, Momcilovic, Jefferson, Jackson, Heise. No reason to believe any of these guys would transfer but still should be top priority to keep them.

Priority #2: Prioritize replacing Jones/Gilbert over replacing Chatfield. I believe we already have our replacement for Chat in Rock or Pleta. Next year would be the year to go all in on a top highly ranked guard in the portal unless our coaching staff is confident Nojus/Batemon/Toure can replace the production of Jones/Gilbert.

Priority #3: Keep current bench players. I assume some will transfer out just due to playing time. That’s the reality in this day and age.

This is the last year of Covid years so there’s more talent graduating than normal. We are a top ten team next year with no transfers in, top 5 with a good guard transfer.

So much easier for a guard vs a 7ft center. He just looks awkward and slow on the floor when he is out there.

Does Jones have another year with the JUCO ruling? Or is that not a done deal. Would have to think WeWill could open up the check book to keep him
It's not likely. He's played 4 years in D1. Not sure what the justification would be for a 5th year, unless the NCAA changes their rule to allowing 5 years of eligibility instead of 4, which there was talk of.

Jones has played the same number of seasons as Gilbert. If Jones gets another year, there is no reason Gilbert wouldn't too. Neither will.

I was basing that off them being red shirt seniors. I don’t know if they will come back, if they have COVID year or it is used. With nothing official, the first guess is they graduate and move on to the next phase.

Some of the names are just guesses. We never really know till the season is over. Just putting down the roster and best guess at this point with nothing official from TJ or the players.

all of this information is available on this very site: https://cyclonefanatic.com/basketball/mens/scholarship-chart/

the only unknown is the extremely unlikely event where curtis jones is granted another year because of the recent ruling that juco years don't count against eligiblity. jones had 1 year at juco (indian hills 20-21) which was also covid year. chances are the NCAA is not going to let him double dip eligibility wise. but the NCAA has never been know to be consistent, fair, or to even rely on their own set precedents. still, I wouldn't count on jones getting another year.

Grill has developed into a great player too

But those guys made jumps as they became older players

CuJo is a 23 year old senior. Grill a 24 year old. Bob Jones was 22 as a senior

Rock will always be at an age disadvantage to his class. As a senior he’ll be 21. Two years younger than some of these guys.

The German big is likely going to be a 21 year old sophomore next year- big advantage over Rock to be two years older but with the same eligibility

Rock turns 20 in March and Pleta turns 21 in October. Which means they will both be 20 turning 21 as sophomores. Both will be 23 when graduating as seniors.
