Ya after a second look they probably are. Must be the yellow pants that make them look more black and pop the yellow pipping around the numbers
The grey uniforms are absolutely the worst idea ever. When they come out of the tunnel wearing them I just want to puke.

Still think those Trice throwbacks have real potential. Just need to be done correctly.
And I think there's a reason that style died out 100 years ago. I can't remember who posted it, but here's a more accurate representation:
Totally in favor of rolling these out for the 100 year anniversary, but a permanent look? Gross. Hopefully we save them for a prime time game against Oklahoma or Texas instead of wasting them on the Cyhawk game; the nation needs to hear Jack's story.
This is still my favorite by a long ways! Very similar to what Oklahoma State has for simple, interchangeable options. Maybe a matte black as well!
I, too, like those. Has a hint of flash, but still classic, and as you say, interchangeable combos.
I like how the sleeve stripes suggest an "I" frame on the numerals that matches w/ the double-stripe on pants -- although it isn't there w/ the cardinal-jersey example, which either was an oversight by @CycloneUniforms or the "I" is an unexpected byproduct of the design.
Also, that gray shade is much less intrusive than the storm-cloud look we have now.
I agree, a one-off in connection w/ 100th anniversary of Trice death. If ISU did use that outfit, I suggest doing it as closely to Oct. 8, 2023, as possible, the nearest home game prior to that date. I wouldn't target a specific "Major Opponent." If the schedule happens to fall that way, even better.
As you suggest, I wouldn't "waste it" on the CyHawk game, either. (ISU-UI game would be about 3 weeks before that, if we follow schedule pattern of the series this century).

October 7th, 2023 is the closest Saturday. I would hope the AD had already requested the conference for a home game that day.
