With that uniform, slap almost anything on the helmet (except for the poo-moji tor-no-no) and it's still a dynamite look.
The combo we haven't done yet but that I want the most is W/G/W
White helmet, gold jersey, white pants. We were going to do this in 2016 but Toledo wore that combo on a weekday night game and we switched away from it.
The grey is called "anthracite".
The recruits seem pretty fond of wearing the red chrome helmet with the yellow jerseys. Looks pretty tight to me. It'd look less McDonald's-like if they'd darken the yellow a bit and play under the lights at night. With accents like red gloves, red shoes, red arm bands, etc., I think it'd look a lot better.

Yeah, that's the one thing that always bugged me about those uniforms. The inner stripe on the triple stripe accents is the right shade, but they ****ed up the rest of the pants.
You should see the originals they are modeled after. The jersey yellow is closer to a green.
Only by insipid marketing/PR types. It's gray.

I realize this is just some dude mocking something up, but this is really just a cut and paste of various things that have already been done. Nothing really unique, creative or insightful besides “they should do an all-black set” about 10 years late.
I really like the basketball uni’s, but I’m not sure something similar would translate well the football field. I’d prefer not to have a Boise St or Okie St uniform template in cardinal and gold. Similarly, I’m was happy not to see yellow pants once this past season.
Really wouldn't like what those look like.
I'm hoping they go with a darker shade of both cardinal and gold. Also hope they keep a type of grey uniform.
Not a big fan of the candy striper look, especially on the pants. Seems a bit amateurish and I hope Nike and ISU can do better.
Just to be clear, my understanding was this is football only uni refresh, not an overhaul of the graphic identity. Though we are due for the once-a-decade or so start from scratch (‘87, ‘95, ‘08...). Either way, I’d assume the colors are more or less set.
I was just basing that off of how the new bball uniforms look.
Could just be me but it looks like they are slighty darker shades of the colors.
