Why would UConn want him? They already have a skinny 7 footer in Brimah. Are they planning on using twin towers?

Probably for the same reason that NBA scouts are looking at him, and that Fred wanted him. That being said, I'm sure UCONN, Hoiberg, and the NBA scouts are wrong, and I will defer to the Cyclone Fanatic expert recruiting analysts that say he's Ellerman Jr.

Nice source bro, I think I'll take my sports news from sites not named sharknado

Hey bro I'm not saying this is legit or anything. Just was searching for him on twitter and came across this so thought I'd post it. No need to be a dbag about it.

Talked to a guy from Greece and he said this kid is legit. Also, said his English is good and won't be an issue.

I thought people said he's Dingleberry 2.0.

What is the deal with Giorgos has me committed or not? Wish he was active on twitter

Chris Williams, Travis Hines, Randy Peterson and Fran Fraschilla have all reported that he committed to ISU. If those 4 all say something is the case, then it happened.

However, until he arrives on campus he will continue to be recruited by other programs and anything can (and does) happen.

We have a REALLY good track record of bringing in 7' Canadian/Euro type of players once committed to ISU. ( Theo Davis, Ivan chiriaev).

No way is this kid not a cyclone.

At least their is video of this kid playing... no one had seen Chiriaev play before and when they did.... whoa boy.

Thankfully foreign scouting is a tad better than it was in 2004.

I dont think Fran would say that unless he is. That doesnt mean that he wont end up at UConn if someone in his camp wants some $$$$$.

Commitments from US players doesn't often mean squat. I'm not sure why this would be any different.

To be fair, international scouting peaked in 1994 with Jimmy Dolan.

Except Theo Davis wasn't 7' tall, but don't let facts get in the way of a good story.

The real question that needs answered is does the NBA need Giorgos Tsalmpouris?
