More exception than the rule. Vertically challenged players have the deck stacked against them. Size was a definite weakness. There is a reason why pro teams target certain dimensions with certain positions. Those guys were certainly decent players for Iowa State but they were not All Americans and they were not standout professionals.
I will take the size and ability of Allen Lazard any day over any of those guys. That is why I like the trend of us getting bigger DB's. Tough for a 5'7" DB to stop a 6'3" Doctson. Size does matter. As well as ability.
