New Arrowhead?

Yeah, I thought the same thing. We’re going be shocked.
Im confident it won't happen. The Royals only have an affiliate who own the note on that ground, they don't own the land. Kansas has already committed funds to Fiserv locating a campus on that property, which will bring thousands of jobs to OP. I have a hard time believing they are going to back incentives to the Royals on the same property.

I honestly don’t want them there, it’s next to my in laws house in Leawood and it would make travel there a nightmare with as often as we see them. Just what they heard, and are confident in. And for some reason excited about.

They wouldn't even help pay for the Chiefs stadium. The Chiefs own that metro. You think they're going to help build the Royals one? These idiots don't even think there is anything wrong with the K. I'm slowly becoming happier knowing they're moving across the state line. It'll be better for both franchises.

I’m really happy for Jackson residents actually. Don’t have to pay billions for two stadiums and the teams aren’t even leaving the metro.

We will see, but I'll be surprised. Before today, the Fiserv announcement was one of the biggest deals in Kansas ever, so I just don't see them backing the Royals in that location.

I still really like this plan...

Yeah this seems like a big win for the folks on the MO side, other than the ticket prices about to go insane.

KCMO, sure, but there are some nice areas in Missouri outside of that.
Of course there are. Lee's Summit, Liberty, etc .. I thought we learned a long time ago though that if you let the flagship city of the metro go to hell there is a trickle down effect? Look at St. Louis. I mean look at KCMO before they invested in Power and Light and built the Sprint Center. You let your city core go to **** and inevitably the metro does too in a lot of ways. Even people who live in the suburbs should be smart enough to root for KCMO. Just like anywhere else.

Right, instead of higher taxes and getting in their car to drive to the game they get lower taxes and getting in their car to drive to the game.

The stadiums would have paid themselves off and they lose all the revenue from people patronizing the area on gameday weekend. Ask Des Moines how much they lost out on when concerts were at Hilton all those years before they built Wells Fargo.
