NCAA BASKETBALL CORRUPTION SCHEME

The one name I think everyone is completely shocked hasn't been mentioned yet. They are another school who regularly loads up with top rated recruits that leave everyone scratching their heads and asking how they scored that.

Baylor's overall 24/7 ranking the last 8 years
2016 - 40
2015 - 46
2014 - 61
2013 - 20
2012 - 4

2011 - 30
2010 - 48
2009 - 112

2 real outliers here. Something to look at I suppose.

How quickly does the NCAA come down with punishments? You would think there would be initial punishments right off the bat and then more after they find out more information. I would say that the schools mentioned should all be on immediate post season bans.

Schools need to be awfully careful in recruiting any of the kids that decommit from these schools because who knows if they took anything?

The other question is how quickly the schools move to punish themselves. Auburn is apparently looking at fielding a team of walkons with no coach (season ticket refunds mentioned earlier) and Louisville might be much the same.

Also, wonder who is coaching Louisville this year because Pitino isn't the only coach that will be gone. It will be a skeleton crew.

I agree in regards to anyone player suspected of being involved. 5 star, one and done talent might be hands off. But there might be some really good 4 year talent, 4 star type players looking for a new home. If we could vet them thoroughly and they are clean, we do have the luxury of a scholarship to give.

Where does UNLV fit into this?

2017 - 15
2016 - 66
2015 - 14
2014 - 4
2013 - 22
2012 - 6
2011 - 64
2010 - 260
2009 - 141

Another interesting thought...depending on how much the schools themselves were involved as opposed to coaches, could the school ADs end up losing their 501(c)(3) status? I believe that illegal activity is grounds for losing non-profit status.
