NBA: *** NBA Playoffs Thread V2.0 ***

Thanks, Pacers, for the reminder why not to invest emotionally in games that don't really matter. I have enough heartattacks with the Cyclones.

It was horrendous defense.

But imagine a team in football getting the go ahead field goal. The other team calls a timeout and gets the ball at the 35 yard line. Ridiculous.

It's not a very "pure" rule, but it does create more drama.

Anyone else here a Pacers fan? Or are most of you guys just anti-Heat fans? Just wondering the demographics here.

Agreed. It's so much more entertaining when I'm not attached to either of the teams (although I generally support the underdog).

I rooted for the Pacers in the mid-90s when they had Fred, Rick Smits, Reggie Miller, etc. They were a fun team to watch.

Since then, though, I haven't paid much attention to them.

difference is with Hibbert in the game, they likely don't run that play and run something else for a Bosh jump shot.

I'll be surprised if Indiana wins the series now, they needed that game to have a chance.

Agreed. We will see in game 2 if the Pacers fold or come ready to battle.

why didn't Sam Young try to hack him on that layup? That was appalling effort.

1/3 fan of upsets
1/3 not fan of teams who celebrate a championship before they win one
1/3 Bulls fan my whole life living in Chicago and just grow to hate any team you collide with in the playoffs year after year

The Pacers have had teams I really didn't like through the years, but for better or worse I was with them when they had Tinsley and I really do like their current group of players. If they can stay together and the Bulls can get healthy the East will finally be the better conference again very soon, NY and Brooklyn will spend boatloads of money to fight it out for 4th-7th place finishes.
