NBA: *** NBA Playoffs Thread V2.0 ***

I hope the long break between Game 5 and Game 6 gets Hinrich healthy enough to play. The Bulls need him to go against Deron Williams. Nate Rob can't do it and Marquis Teague has been a disappointment at point.

I think the Bulls win by 10+ tomorrow. Hope that doesn't put the hex on 'em, but I feel good about it. I'm not a Bulls fan either. My season went south when the Lakers signed Nash. Never liked that move.

I'm not sure the Bulls are good enough offensively to win by that amount. I think they'll still win though.

The Lakers season went south the minute you hired Mike Dantoni. Apparantly, nobody in the Lakers front offense paid any attention to his coaching in New York.

Because it was going so smoothly under Mike Brown. The Lakers were going to be a **** show no matter who they hired for coach. Dwight and Nash were banged up all year, Kobe decided to stop playing defense, their bench was terrible and their delusional fan base thought they were title contenders. This wasn't going to end well under any circumstance.

You mean for the five games he got to coach? There is only one person the Lakers should have fired their head coach for that early in the season and that's Phil Jackson.

The guy benched Pau Gasol for Earl Clark. Earl Clark!!!

Plus the winless preseason. Even Phil Jackson couldn't have saved this mess. The last time Jackson was coaching the Lakers they quit on him against Dallas, if he takes the job, what's the best case scenario? Maybe getting a 6 seed and hoping to sneak into the second round?

Best case scenario? Don't know, there are few teams who are equiped to handle both Howard and Gasol down low. I believe Jackson would have at least gotten the best out of this team. I didn't think they were a championship calibur team because they were too slow and didn't have enough depth, but this was a very poorly coached team. Might be more poorly coached than the Clippers, which is saying something.

I certainly won't disagree with that.

Knicks wearing black to the game got what they deserved as well. Hope the celtics come back to make history.

Lance Stephenson wholeheartedly agrees with this statement.

Hey this worked out pretty well for Lance, now he's on the short list for Most Improved this year. Maybe Royce is trying to follow his career path.
