I must have missed "receive lists of candidates interviewing for major HC jobs" when I reviewed my Cyclone Club benefits per levels sheet.

Son, we live in a world that has basketball teams, and those teams have to be coached by men with guns. Who's gonna do it? You? You, Lt. Weinburg? Jeremy and Chris have a greater responsibility than you could possibly fathom. You weep for these mystery candidates, and you curse the people who won't tell you who they were. You have that luxury. You have the luxury of not knowing what they know. That not hiring some big name coach, while tragic, probably saved lives. And CW's existence, while grotesque and incomprehensible to you, saves lives. You don't want the truth because deep down in places you don't talk about at parties, you want Chris and Jeremy on that wall, you need them on that wall. They use words like "source's tell me". They use these words as the backbone of a life spent gathering information for Cyclone Fans. You use them as a punchline. They have neither the time nor the inclination to explain themselves to a man who rises and sleeps under the blanket of the very information that they provide, and then questions the manner in which they provide it. They would rather you just said thank you, and went on your way, Otherwise, I suggest you pick up a microphone, and start calling Jamie. Either way, they don't give a damn what you think you are entitled to!
...except for the guns part.
If it makes you feel any better, I suspect most of us thought you would turtle up on this when the time came.
Prohm just started following Tim Fuller real recently. Any chance they met and got along at the isu job fair?
We don't really need Jeremy to give the names. I hope he doesn't. Imo the only thing that is now relevant about the candidates is that given what is out there on who the 2 "mystery" candidates were (or at least what level of coaches), for JP to still pick Prohm says a lot about Prohm. Same with Prohm beating out JP's guy in TJ.

If true my guess is Marshall pulled out first and Altman was the one still with his name in the running. Marshall would have added more fun to the KU rivalry
Candidates just means that they were in conversation. Marshall had an interview with Alabama in Wichita while being offered the moon to stay, so he is capable of anything. The meltdown in Wichita would have been epic if he came to Ames.
I like to think of the Mystery Candidates commuting to Atlanta together in the Mystery Machine with Scooby riding shotgun.
