Most disappointing concerts attended!

John Edwards ran in 2004. I didn't think he did again in 2008 because of the whole "having a baby with his mistress while his wife died from cancer" scandal thing he had going on.

Edwards ran in 2008, finished 2nd in the Iowa Caucus in January 2008. He admitted to the affair in August 2008.

He did in 04 and 08. That explains my confusion. Maybe I didn't remember 08 because I was living in Indiana by then and he probably already dropped out before the primary for that state.

Carry on, sorry for the derailment.

Stevie Nicks at Hilton, wasted out of her mind. Joe Walsh was great for warm up.

Back in the late 80s Bo Diddley played at what I think was called Peoples on Lincoln Way? He was in the middle of his rebirth with the "Bo knows" commercials. All I can say is "Bo knows" how NOT to please a crowd. 45 minutes of meh effort and he was gone.

At least that's how I remember it...

Who else has let you down?

Van Morrison. Expensive tickets, Short show, no opener, no encore, and Left the stage for like 15 minutes during the show. I'm guessing he needed to drop a deuce or something.

Mike jones was making his playlist on iTunes (which he sang over) before the show as the VEISHEA guy drive him around.

Eric Clapton could never be bad! LOL. If you are wanting just his hits I understand, but the man could play nearly anything and be amazing.

I saw Eddie Money twice, approximately 25 years apart. He seemed partly wasted both times -- I realized it was his live M.O. The sets were almost exactly the same. I was impressed by the consistency.
I saw him at the Osceola riverboat maybe 10 years ago in April. He kept saying "Thank you Des Moines, Happy New Year!" He said it numerous times through out the night.

Add me to the Bob Dylan vote.

Saw him in Davenport at the Capitol Theater, a really nice small venue.

I literally never understood a word he mumbled, let alone sang.

He was 1/2 way through Mr. Tambourine Man before I even RECOGNIZED what song it was... Mr. Tambourine Man!

It sucked...

I love Dylan but his concerts blow, and yes I saw him for the first time way past his prime. But I still love his music.

I saw Dylan in 1992. He started singing Lay Lady Lay and I started laughing because of how horrible it sounded.

I bought farm aid tickets at Jack trice and Alice in Chains backed out a day before. So basically i watched a bunch of bands i had no interest in. I ended up getting hammered at the SAE house after.

311 in Des Moines, it was probably 2004ish. One of the few concerts that I've left early from.

Sadly, Paul McCartney. Not that he was bad, just no energy on the stage or in the crowd. Really disappointing experience for a lifetime fulfillment of mine.

Actually, I change my vote. I always forget about the Goo Goo Dolls a couple of years ago in Indy. Which is crazy because I always heard about how awesome they are live. Maybe it was just a down night for them, but they stunk the place up. Surprisingly, Matchbox 20 was great that night, and I say that fully admitting that I ******* hate them.

Billy Joel at Hilton about 1977. Probably just me.

My band has opened for many groups. When we played with Survivor about 6 years ago, everybody said we were better. Have to agree.
