More Players Out the Door

I hope these are the only 4. Would have liked to see Mutcherson and Leslie stay though for sure.

We're going to need TE help ASAP.

Is a TE necessary? Yeah it's nice when you have a matchup nightmare like Bibbs, but personally I don't see a need for a TE and would rather have 4 WR's out there.

"It's not the recruits you don't get, it's the recruits you get that never pan out that hurt a program."

I'm trying to remember who said that, or words to that effect ...

Yes, when your qb is getting creamed by the four man rush.

Good PR move to announce losing six or seven players on Friday and then enjoy the weekend.

I think McCarney ? IIRC there was one class that almost didn't pan out at all.

This is what the end of a coaches time looks like. Players leaving or getting kicked off, recruiting is absolutely horrible. I don't see CPR lasting past next year.

If I'm counting correctly, this gives us room for 4 more in the recruiting class (Akers is a grey-shirt)

Give me Jaypee Philbert, Joshua Thomas, Deonte Reynolds, & Javier Edwards and there you have it.

Mutcherson's physicality will be the biggest loss. Brought bad intentions a good amount of the time. However, he was out of position quite a bit too. Hopefully those in his place will be better positioned more often.

Q-Floyd is likely first in line. Kamari Syrie has the physicality as well, but needs to be better schooled & in position more too. Hopefully another season of prep can bring that change about for him. Mike Johnson is expected to come in & compete at safety too. Jay Jones coming in to compete @ nickel - likely with Northrup. Cotton-Moya will definitely need to lead this part of the D, no doubt. Definitely young, just hope better/more talented/more disciplined.

So, what is with the timing of this announcement. I agreed with Mesa about us not bashing the team during peak recruitment time, but now the team does it to itself!

Does this have anything to do with recruits who were here for the KU basketball game? Did guys see their positions in jeopardy (or hopes for positions)?

Does this clear the way for more JUCOs who might be in mind for signing day?

While I hate to see guys leave the program, I hope that it is somehow connected with new guys entering the program.

Is someone going to let us know when we can speak freely about our coaches again? Are we still under the gag order?

We started the year with 13 seniors out of our 85 scholarship players. In order to bring in 25 new guys, 12 underclassmen scholarship players have to leave. I don't think we are there yet.

Guys who were not going to play decided to leave..... Who cares.

We wont be any worse without them.

Correct by why weren't they going to play? They were misses. Coaches have to be accountable for misses as well.

Too late to hire Doug Marrone?
