More new coaches confirmed...

I love Sage and Seneca, but Campbell needs to hire coaches he knows can do the job, not guys he hopes can do the job because they were good QBs for ISU back in the day.

If these guys really want to coach at ISU some day then they need to start working as full time coaches somewhere, anywhere, and work their way up.

They shouldn't get a coaching position at ISU just because the fans think it would be neat.

I have no doubt that with the experience they have from the NFL, that they COULD be really good coaches. But they shouldn't learn on the job at ISU.

Exactly. Unfortunately people are going to keep bringing their names up because that's CF.

I said I'd like ONE OF OUR NFL QUARTERBACKS "brought on in some capacity," not "how bout we make them co-head coach and passing game coordinators."

I love CyFan, but sometimes ya'll are a bunch of ********.

I wasn't referring specifically to you. Some people on here have been actively campaigning for Sage or Seneca to be the QB coach, which requires more than having been a good QB.

I wasn't referring to you either, Hopp. It's all good. I thought I worded my post carefully enough; apparently not. Seneca has been actively campaigning to help in some way- he's a true Cyclone. Why not give him a shot at something?

I will of course defer to Campbell's judgement.

I don't get this obsession. What if neither one of them have any interest in being brought on in some capacity?

This is my reaction every time someone mentions some past ISU great as a coaching prospect.

You realize our basketball team could still be a dumpster fire if it wasn't for a past ISU great? I had season tickets thru all those ****** McDermott years, and people were bailing left and right. I still have them, now people complain about how tough tickets are. The reason? Jamie took a gamble and it paid off.

The slim majority of past greats make it as coaches. The bright ones (Fred, Lon Kruger, etc) can make it. Whether or not that is Seneca, Sage, I don't know.

A lot of people stepping on their jump to conclusion mats today.

Always thought Sage would be a good offensive consultant. Part time working with the QBs and breaking down tape but not having to do it full time. Not sure how that all works within NCAA rules however. Do you have a finite number of staff positions regardless of pay and titles?

So what is the implication here? Is it your head exploding, or are you exploding the heads?
