Monte is NOT a Cousy Award Finalist

Mason, Ball, Monte are the top 3 IMO. Evans 4th. Berry and Brunson on there is a total joke, and Williams-Goss is good, but with the poor SOS he needed more impressive numbers to be a legit candidate.

Whoever picked the finalists should be ashamed of themselves for such horrid work.

Just because anger feels kinda good right now, i'll add this: looking at the other press releases for All Americans.....neither Berry or Brunson are included in either list (USA Today and NBC).

Brunson:
14.8 PPG
53.6% FG
38.5% 3 Point
88.2% FT
2.7 Rebounds/game
4.3 Assists/game
2.2 TO/game

Berry:
15.1 PPG
45.3% FG
42.6% 3 Point
83.2% FT
3.3 Rebounds/game
3.7 Assists/game
2.0 TO/game

Morris:
16.2 PPG
46.2% Fg
39.1% 3 Point
79.6% FT
4.6 Rebounds/game
6.2 Assists/game
1.0 TO/game

Monte scores more, assists more, rebounds more, and this isn't even mentioning the staggering assist to turnover

Well there it is plain as day... both Berry and Brunson knock down their free throws at a better rate. Game over.

In reading this thread (and several others) lauding the unbelievable statistics Monte has compiled I just to need to know whose door we knock on to slap them silly. This award wreaks of favoritism slanted towards the almighty dollar.

Maybe this year they considered leading your team to victories part of a PG role in the model of ultimte winner Bob Cousy. Five finalists ranked 1, 2, 3, 4 and 6 in current AP poll. No idea. I agree Morris should be on the list.
The teams are rewarded for team finishes. This is an individual award and I don't see any of these players' names on the AP poll.

Jawun should be on there with Frank and Monte' as well. I'm confident that they felt the need to spread it around conferences rather than rewarding the stellar point guard play in the Big 12.

I don't think they would have any problem putting the PGs from Duke, UNC, and Louisville together on the list if they were all worthy.

I can almost guarantee this was a string of actual thoughts by the committee:

Member 1: "Well, we've got Mason, NWG, Brunson, and Ball. Who should our fifth be?"

Member 2: "What about Monte Mor-"

Member 1: "****, we forgot a player from the ACC!"

Member 2: "Aw hell, who's North Carolina's point guard? Throw them on there and call it good."

Member 1: "Brilliant!"
