Monte is NOT a Cousy Award Finalist

I can almost guarantee this was a string of actual thoughts by the committee:

Member 1: "Well, we've got Mason, NWG, Brunson, and Ball. Who should our fourth be?"

Member 2: "What about Monte Mor-"

Member 1: "****, we forgot a player from the ACC!"

Member 2: "Aw hell, who's North Carolina's point guard? Throw them on there and call it good."

Member 1: "Brilliant!"

I'm sure LE's comment on this would be-- "Monte would be in the top five if his jersey said Kansas on it".

Brunson over Monte is criminal
I haven't seen a lot of Villanova games but I went to Seton Hall - Nova on FEB 18. Brunson had 22 pts on 7-for-7 shooting and 10 assists. Granted, he had 3 TOs but he was phenomenal. I was blown away. He absolutely carved up a good opponent that game.

That's not his whole body of work, but he showed me he could dominate a game.

Frankly, I thought Monte might get screwed out out the short list because his game is so subtle-yet-efficient-and-beautiful. Those of us who have paid attention to him for 4 years get the beauty of his game though.

Its the system, I would have to say I am not surprised. Putting up with this is getting really tiring. I have been at it too long. Sometimes I curse the day Johnny Orr made me an ISU basketball fan. Monte is the best. That is all I have to say.

Monte is the best point guard in college basketball with separation. There are better scoring guards, nobody is in his league as far as a point guard.

He's the best ball handler in an entire generation of college basketball players.

Drop the crack pipe. Entire generation of college basketball players? Monte Morris is not even the best point guard point in the Big 12 this year because it's Frank Mason.

This reminds me of waaaay back when Byron Hanspaard was selected for the Doak Walker award over Troy Davis. Academics was a supposed factor, and granted, Troy was not a rocket scientist, but he beat Hanspaard's 0.0 GPA by just a touch. It's about greasing palms and lining wallets anymore.
