Michigan State Speculation- Hoiberg

Eustachy was linked to the Louisville job. Tom Jurich was the AD and he and Larry were friends somehow.

Normally schools hire a dad in hopes to landing their kid. MSU is flipping it by bringing the son on as a walk-on in hopes of landing the dad as head coach? Seems odd.

If I were Fred, I'd wait for the Bulls to fire me, and then I'd retire and golf and fish every day.

False. There is nothing too odd for CF to talk about.

What a strange line to say that most of his success was due to his staff at ISU. Recruiting success, maybe. Definitely not on-the-floor success, though.

TJ was a great assistant top-to-bottom. I love Prohm, but I have a feeling he is going to be in a P5 job soon and absolutely kill it when he does.

I just hope not in the Big 12. That would be a hard family to root against. I would hate to think "we could have had him," too, in years he outdoes us.

Great recruiter, good tactician, etc., all that.

Matt A definitely knew when, where, and to recruit blue-chip transfers. Did not do much else, but when a guy gets you Royce, Clyburn, and Nader, he is good to have.

With those two bringing Fred talent, he had all the ingredients he needed.

So I do give a lot of credit to those two. More and more as SDSU heats up to TJ, as well.

That twitter handle seems dubious at best. But I’ve predicted for a long time that he’d be in the big 10 or ACC sooner rather than later. He almost jumped to Ohio State last year.

This would make that whole “not the coach’s son” article about Jack as apropos as the “dream job” quote, so that would be fun.
