McDermott to Creighton?

Why on earth would he meet with a coach that wasn't Mac in Des Moines and subject himself to wild speculation that it was Mac?????

On the flip side of that, why would he meet with Mac in DM knowing it would cause wild speculation.

If you're coming from Indianapolis you do. Thats where McKenna would be coming from. There are like 4 major cities that fly into DSM.

No big deal, but I'm confused. Why not just fly directly to Omaha? Or from Omaha to Indianapolis? Why would Des Moines be involved at all? Plus, why would he be coming from Indianapolis? I believe Indiana State is still in Terre Haute.

Any chance that Creighton would take DA back if he went up to Oregon and had another case of "post-purchase dissonance" like he did with Arkansas?

Of course, there has also been speculation today on both the Oregon and Creighton sides that the Creighton AD might be following Altman to Oregon.........since they don't currently have an AD. Doesn't appear to be true though. Crazy day!

Wow you guys are way over thinking this..
It's obvious Greg and Wayne are going to be coaching creighton next year Greg head Wayne assistant

I would have doubts about any meeting between the AD and any coach this early in the process. If Creighton is like most other schools, they would first have a series of discussions with an search firm like the one in Atlanta that specializes in representing coaches. Most coaches stay under the radar early in the search process by letting their agent earn his money in the preliminary discussions.

They met at the city park in Adair while playing on the dinosaurs. Have had quite a few family reunions in that city park over the years...it always seemed like it was destined for contract negotiations!

McD doesn't have an agent.
