Like I said, you are too biased. History, recruiting, money, exposure, location, weather- Purdue is inferior to Texas.

It does not say it is much of an accomplishment, but it does suggest advantages.

Until you consider that Kansas is right across the border. That's not really much different than Ohio State being the flagship in the state and having Indiana, Purdue, Kentucky, and Michigan State all nearby. Kansas and other top schools will nearly always pick the best players from Missouri. Purdue has an easier time getting players like that because there are simply more of them in Indiana.

Ohio State absolutely benefits from being the flag-ship program in the state.

There may be more players in Indiana, but it is outpaced by the increase in attractive schools near by. Additionally, MU and Purdue need to get the best of their state, the Zeller/Ferrell/Perea type to reach the next level, which is harder for Purdue.

If you think Purdue is as good of a job as UT, your bias is getting the best of you.

I'll concede that Texas is a better job, just a pretty equal program at this point.

But Mizzou will always be outpaced for it's top talent by Kansas in particular, but UNC has also come in and picked Hansborough and Sean May. And when Mizzou gets outpaced by schools like that, there's really not much left over. Whereas in Indiana, yes, other schools take a lot of the talent, but then there is still a lot left over.

Texas is a better program right now.

Speaking of UNC, where is Zeller from? The same place as Sean May- Indiana.

Both schools historically have been picked over, and had to go to back-up recruits- and their results are nearly identical. The difference is MU has an easier path to changing that.
MU also pays more, has newer and better facilities, reportedly better location...

Poor guy probably got Tyler Zeller and Tyler/Ben Hansbrough confused. Oh well.....

My cousin went to Purdue and says that Mizzou and Painter are meeting today. No source, just hear say.

He says there is some rumored racial-tension going on between Painter and his players. In the end, I would be surprised if Purdue does not do everything in their power to keep Painter.

If he does go, it would be interesting to see how loyal Brad Stevens stays to Butler...

This is looking more and more likely and the two main reasons are Painter's negative relationship with the AD which is looked at to be mostly the AD by Purdue people and also because MU is opening up the bank for Painter.
