Illinois hadn't recruited well in a while. They are just now starting to recruit well again. Look at them from 2005 to 2009. Not very impressive and you can see why they were just a middle of the pack Big 10 team. Now they are recruiting better and I expect them to be better. Iowa is really going to have a hard time in the future b/c Michigan, Illinois, and Indiana all appear to be on the upswing. OSU and Mich St aren't going anywhere either.

Yahoo Sports: Rivals.com 2005 Illinois Commitments

Illinois didnt neccesarily recruit all that bad during that time period. An Assisstant that used to work at illinois hosed them. They had Eric Gordon until slimeball at Indiana hired his coach. And all the purdue talent Moore, Johnson, and Hummel. The ex-assissant backstabbed Illinois on him. Im almost possitive Memphis hired Rose's handler hence rose going to Memphis. Recruiting was hammered by these instances.

Purdue job > Missouri job. Painter flirted with Missouri to get more $ from Purdue.

What do you have to support that?
Equal tournament appearances. Similar recent success. MU more money, better facilities, better recruiting potential.

Purdue is as much a better job than MU, as Oregon State or Utah is better than Purdue.

People have already stated the evidence that going from Purdue to Mizzou is a lateral move, at best. It's not our fault if you choose not to believe it.

Could you please restate it? I have yet to come across it. Further, could you incorporate the facts I provided above into a contention that MU is in inferior?
TIA

PURDUE JOB > THAN MISSOURI JOB.
Using caps has to convince you it's true. :)

Oregon State has to be the worst job in all of the Big 6....They haven't been relevant since Gary Payton was roaming in Corvallis....Its right up there with Northwestern as being the toughest job in college basketball....

Kinda surprising since it's only an hour out of Portland.
