So let's see 6 years takes us right to 2024? Not a coincidence.

Yes it is. Years on a contract are meaningless when it comes to number of years a coach is actually at a school. in four years he'll have a contract that extends beyond that, he'll be hired away, or he'll be on the hot seat. Nobody's contract simply runs out.

Jamie Pollard just said on the Coaches Show that a new approx $75 million facility is coming for ISU Student Athletes. Called it I think a Student-Athlete Performance Center that will be built on North Side of Jack Trice Stadium. Some of it is for football and then I believe he said also Student-Athlete Academic Services, Dining, etc.

Good news and some security going forward.

Part of me wishes he was 50 so he could more realistically be ISU's Bill Snyder.

And to think I have a a coaching certificate from ISU and I did NOT use it once I got in the job market. Darn It.
Congratulations to the football staff and have a great bowl game!

Agreed. Head coaching money is at the point where almost anyone at the P5 level has 'set for life' money, so having 'the right' job is as important. But coordinator money is a lot more variable. Hopefully can hold onto as much of the staff as possible.
I love you Tom Manning! Too much?

Buyout will be $7 million next year.
That's the only part that sucks and I think will end up hurting on the recruiting trail. The narrative will be "Matt Campbell is on his way out the door at Iowa State."

And $75M is insane. The whole damn endzone club didn't cost that much.
