Has anyone listened to the new podcast yet? I found these quotes pretty dang interesting. I can't help but think the coaching staff has a big surprise in store for us this transfer season.

Matt: "For all the fans who like to throw around the idea of rebuilding...I'll say this...they should probably wait until April, May or June because we are always going to add a DeAndre Kane to our current group of tremendous players."

Blum: "Matt can you win Big 12 newcomer of the year again next year?" Blum was half-heartedly joking.

Matt: "As long as Fred Hoiberg is here we will win that award every year." Matt was dead serious.

Well, swarthmoreCY can rest finally get some sleep now.

Why, did Abdelmassih say something noteworthy? He said exactly what one would expect and there was never any doubt on what the current plan is for finishing up the 2014 class.

Not until he has thoroughly examined the possibility of every player on the roster transferring.

What are you talking about? I have never been worried about anyone transferring.
Since you brought it up though, I'd would not be too sad if a couple of the current guys on roster decided they wanted to leave for more PT.

Or he could have been referring to Nader being that guy next year. Cause Nader will be a real stud. Start from day 1.

Why would we have to wait until April, May, or June to evaluate the team in regards to Nader? He is a known quantity as far as being a member of the team. Not sure we are going to know much more about Nader in June than we do now.

He's clearly hinting that there are some transfer candidates that are on our radar screen.

Three of them I can think of.

Everyone keeps saying this, but why? From what? I saw him in the CCL and he looked good, but nothing earth shattering like the internet hype. He didn't make the kind of impression like seeing Wesley Johnson for the first time or something like that. I think he will be a decent player, but he will not live up to hype he has been getting.

I'm guessing Kane didn't look like a 1st Team B12 player either but he was. CCL should be be used for entertainment only. It's a poor tool to evaluate talent.

Nader will be newcomer of the year next season, and I don't even consider that a bold prediction

I heard the comments by Matt and was intrigued, too. Wont allow myself to get over-excited because even if there's interests with some transfers, it doesn't mean they'll decide to come here. Matt was planning on RV and rightly so, but the letdown sucked. Enjoyed the interview, though, and we pretty much know we'll be finding 'someone'. Not sure we'll ever find an immediate guy with the impact of a Kane again. Wow...1st team all Big12, stat stuffer, pg leader, and Monte mentor.

There are good players available but hoping for somebody as good as Kane every year would be unrealistic. Kane has been phenomenal.
