Hello fellow nerds, missed the eternals and I think little JM and I are gonna watch it tonight. Can somebody tell me where it fits in the MCU timeline and anything else spoiler free I should know about it? I know zero about the characters or their origin

The “present day” of Eternals is after Endgame, that’s all I know.

According to Disney+, the only thing timeline order more recent than it is Hawkeye. As for what to know ahead of time, the movie takes place over thousands of years, but ties very little into anything we have seen thus far. Therefore, I'd say there is pretty much no prep needed ahead of time. With that said, while there is ver little previous ties, it does have very big ramifications to the MCU's future, so it is a must watch.

Fyi... Disney+ has a full MCU timeline order on there under the Marvel tab if you are ever questioning continuity of stuff

Piling on, I'd say too much advance knowledge of the Eternals might make things tougher. Just go along for the ride.

Its now official, all the former Netflix Marvel shows like Daredevil, Jessica Jones, Iron Fist, Punisher, Luke Cage, and the Defenders, as well as Agents of Shield will all be coming to Disney+ on March 16th. Truthfully, I'm a bit shocked by this as I figured they would go the Hulu route with most of these in the U.S. However, this will be Disney+'s first foray into the mature content and it looks like they are updating their parental controls in conjunction with this too. This is a bold move for Disney for sure and opens up the door for more further mature content to pop up.

I'm glad to see those shows will now be on Disney+, I'm sure Hulu would have found a way to squeeze mandatory commercial breaks in the middle of each episode.

Now that Tim Holland’s Spider-Man has seemingly grabbed hold in the MCU with new stand alones, I hope they find a way to bring Jessica Jones into the MCU mix. I assume Daredevil will, as he made a brief cameo in NWH.

Interesting. I'd be lying if I would have guessed 3 years ago how full-on Scarlet Witch the MCU would be heading in the future between her WandaVision show, her importance in Doctor Strange 2, and now this. Granted, I thought I WOULD NOT like WandaVision, but ended up loving it the most of all the new Disney+ shows so far. I guess at this point, why not just sit back, trust Feige and see where he is going with all of this. It helps that I REALLY dig her new costume at the end of WandaVision. That thing is dope. I also can't help but feel like with the absence of the X-Men thus far in the MCU, Feige has kind of shifted Wanda into the Jean Grey pivotal role for the MCU.

It makes 2024 seem crowded already since FF is for sure one of them.

Well, I'd be lying if I said this looks attractive to me at all, but like everything, I'll at least give it a shot. Maybe not my cup of tea.

Yeah I’ll watch it but as other sites have said, it looks very CW. My daughter might get into it, she loves marvel stuff too so it’s bonding time for us!

This for me. I have 4 daughters that I think will love this, so it's good opportunity for me to find some common ground in our interests. Especially since my oldest is pre-teen. The coming of age shows are a big hit for her.

FYI.... as talked about earlier, today is the day where all the following existing shows are now available on Disney+:

Daredevil
Iron Fist
Jessica Jones
Luke Cage
Punisher
The Defenders
Agents of Shield

I'm trying to rack my brain, but I believe now ALL MCU shows are available on Disney-owned Hulu or Disney+
