Eternals coming to Disney+ on January 12. I'm kind of disappointed as I was hoping to watch it over the Holidays.

I suspect that they held off to keep the focus on Spidey over the holidays.
I'm disappointed, too, but I think that's their likely reason.

Haven’t been around in awhile. Probably since right before Loki started. Was a big fan of that one, BTW. Didn’t go to The Eternals (my only “miss” (saw BW and SC in theater)). Have been watching Hawkeye and I’d call it “ok”. Have tix to Spider-Man locked up. Looking forward to it.

I had hoped to see Shang-Chi in theaters, but it didn't work out. I finally caught it on Disney+ when it was released and I gotta say that while I enjoyed it, I didn't think it was as good as others have said. I have co-workers say it's the best MCU entry and my wife said it's her 2nd favorite after Iron Man. I thought Shang-Chi was a very strong film and it did a masterful job of balancing the fantasy elements, but in my rankings I think it's right around Doctor Strange (which I think I enjoyed more than most). It's the best entry of Phase 4 that I've seen so far - I still haven't seen Eternals.

Some families on my street rented out a theater to see Ghostbusters: Afterlife last week and that was a great experience. We'll be doing that for again for Spider-Man.

I have really been enjoying Hawkeye. The most recent episode (#3) has been one of the best of the MCU-series so far. It had the feel of a great episode of the "old" Netflix-Marvel shows, like DareDevil.

The "Marvel fatigue" is simply not everything can be the big throw down of "Infinity War" and "Endgame".

I don't know, I actually am tired of the big battles. I'd much rather have some smaller street level stuff. That was my hope after Endgame, that we'd go smaller. Instead we've kind of gone bigger with the movies and they appear to be going with the small stuff on TV.

Fun episode again IMO. It’s much like the others in that it’s just a fun adventure although the end will up the game a little bit with a certain character showing up.
Crap. I like this thread but I stay out of it because I want to be surprised!!!

Sorry perhaps I should have put the spoiler tag on although admittedly I don’t think I spoiled anything at all. Was very vague in my comment.

That was a short episode. Loved how they used the
music from Endgame when Clint was telling Kate about Nat. Not sure I agree with them using it again at the end when Clint thought Kate fell to her death.

Looks like Laura might be the person Clint said has been out of the game for a long time.

The sprinkling in of the phrase “thanos was right” has cracked me up. Was written on the urinal in episode 1 and he was drinking from a mug with it in this episode.

I'm a bit perplexed by Hawkeye so far. I was super excited for the show, loved the intro look-back to the battle of New York right off the bat, and have mostly had fun with the show so far. HOWEVER, we are now 4 episodes in on this 6 episode series, and outside of a few teases here or there, has anything really happened outside of Clint and Kate toying around with a gang full of idiots with seemingly zero stakes??? We are 2/3rds the way through this series and I don't even know what the plot is yet, and we now only have 2 episodes to close this thing out. I sure hope they prove me wrong, but I have a hard time believing at this moment I'm going to walk away from the end of this thing satisfied. Sure, if the point of the series is to establish the Kate Bishop character, I think they are doing an alright job of that so far, but an entire series' purpose should never be to simply establish a new character. It should be telling a good story first, while secondly establishing new characters, not vice-versa. Anyway, that ends my rant. At least I'm still having fun hanging out with these characters, but I still can't help but constantly ask myself when we are going to get to the point of all of this.
